Prizes and awards

Here is an overview of our prizes and awards over the years.

Prix Femmes d'affaires du Québec

Prix Femmes d'affaires du Québec 2023 :

In the Influential Leader category, the Social Organization or Enterprise award was presented to our Executive Director, Sophie Morin, at the Gala held on November 2 at the Palais des Congrès de Montréal.

The passion and conviction with which she spoke about our respite workers and the respite they offer 24 hours a day, for up to two weeks, both moved and drew applause from the 800 guests. It is an honour she shared with our 50 employees, who make it possible to offer more than 3,000 days of respite across Quebec.

Prix d'excellence

Baluchon was the winner of the Prix d'excellence du ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux (MSSS) in the Community Impact category for 2023. Respite everywhere and for everyone, a theme related to the expansion of our services, caught the eye of the jury at this prestigious competition, which brought together all Quebec’s CISSS and CIUSSS, key public health players and their leaders, as well as ministers Lionel Carmant and Sonia Bélanger.

This award recognizes the impact of our actions on caregivers and our collaborative work with numerous associations representing groups of people with various physical and neurological conditions in Quebec. It also testifies to the hard work of our entire team over the past few years, and we’re very proud!

2012 Award of Excellence, McGill University Gerontology Seminar

Held in conjunction with the McGill Interdisciplinary Geriatrics Seminar, the conference addressed issues related to gerontology and attracted a large number of professionals. At each annual conference, as a way of thanking presenters, the organizing committee recognizes a community organization that provides excellent services to seniors. Baluchon Alzheimer received the Award of Excellence in 2012.

Prix d'excellence 2011 from the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux

On the 30th edition of the Prix d’excellence, the health and social services network presented the Baluchon Alzheimer organization with the Prix d’excellence - Impact sur la communauté, for its essential support of caregivers caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease. The Community Impact Award recognizes the relevance of services and actions aimed at the well-being of the community. Every year, the ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux pays tribute to the men and women who work in community institutions and organizations, providing unique services and assistance across Quebec to improve the well-being and living conditions of our fellow citizens.
